Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Peptide (35-55), mouse, rat TFA
Catalog No. T78541
Synonyms:
MOG (35-55) (TFA)
Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Peptide (35-55), mouse, rat (MOG (35-55)) TFA, a minor constituent of central nervous system (CNS) myelin, demonstrates encephalitogenic properties by inducing T cell proliferation and Th1 cytokine response. Additionally, it elicits relatively high levels of IgG antibodies and induces a relapsing-remitting neurological disorder characterized by widespread plaque-like demyelination [1] [2] [3].

In vitro
Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein peptide (MOG (35-55)) at concentrations ranging from 0-50 μg/mL induces T cell proliferation and Th1 cytokine secretion, including IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-10, IL-4, and IL-5 over 72 hours in murine lymph node cells. Additionally, treatment with TFA enhances IgG levels in both mice and rats [1].
In vivo
Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Peptide (35-55), mouse, rat TFA is utilized for animal modeling to establish a murine model of encephalomyelitis. The peptide (35-55) TFA (MOG (35-55); 200 µg (0.2 mL); intraperitoneally injected; once, for a duration of 38 days) exhibits encephalitogenic activity in HLA-DR2 (DRB1*1501) mice [1].
