Description	Melengestrol acetate is a derivative of progesterone and acts as a corticosteroid hormone. Melengestrol acetate promotes endometrial proliferation delay of menstrual activity and pregnancy maintenance.
In vivo	Subcutaneous injection of Melengestrol acetate (10 mg/kg) inhibits the growth of AT3 tumors by 53%. Melengestrol acetate reduces 54% weight of the ventral prostate and reduces the seminal vesicles [1].
