Description
ICI 162,846 is an orally active and potent H2 receptor antagonist that inhibits gastric secretion and may be used in the study of duodenal ulcers.
In vivo
In CFLP mice, chronic esophageal ulcer (CDU) formation was induced by irradiating the lower mediastinum. ICI 162846 (administered at a dose of 10 mg/kg, twice daily for 5 consecutive days; via oral gavage) was able to significantly reduce the incidence of CDU [2].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
