Description
ICAM-1-IN-1 is a potent and selective inhibitor of E-selectin (IC50 = 7 nM) and ICAM-1 (IC50 = 5 nM).

In vivo
In both a rat model of rheumatoid arthritis and a mouse model of asthma, ICAM-1-IN-1 demonstrates significant therapeutic effects. Notably, after nine days of treatment with ICAM-1-IN-1, there is a reduction in the swelling of inflamed ankles in the rat arthritis model; however, it does not exhibit efficacy during the acute phase of the condition. A 21-day regimen of ICAM-1-IN-1 at a dosage of 25 mg/kg markedly decreases ankle inflammation in arthritic rats. Additionally, this treatment leads to a notable decrease in eosinophil counts and levels of serum-soluble ICAM-1 (sICAM-1).

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
