Description	WAY208466 dihydrochloride is a selective and potent 5-HT6 receptor agonist (EC50=7.3 nM) with antidepressant and anxiolytic activity, which can be used for the study of neurological disorders such as depression and anxiety.
In vitro	WAY-208466 binds to the human 5-HT6 receptor with high affinity (Kiz value 4.8 nM) and acts as a full receptor agonist (EC50 value 7.3 nM; Emax value 100%). [1]
In vivo	METHODS: Rats were treated with WAY-208466 (10 mg/kg, subcutaneously, daily, for 14 days) to evaluate the neurochemical effects of chronic 5-HT 6 receptor stimulation. RESULTS: WAY-208466 resulted in a robust and significant increase in extracellular GABA levels. [1]
