Olvanil inhibits C6 glioma cell proliferation with an IC50 of 5.5 μM[2].
In vivo
Olvanil is one capsaicin analog. Olvanil acts as an agonist at the vanilloid receptor. Olvanil may have causes an anxiogenic-like effect. Doses of 0, 0.2, 1.0 and 5.0 mg/kg Olvanil, respectively, yielded percent open arm entries at 5 min of 25±10.1, 19.3±7.1, 14.9±5.9 and 0±0[3].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
