Description
K-111 (BM-170744) is an orally available peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-alpha agonist and insulin enhancer for the study of obesity-type diabetes mellitus and the metabolic syndrome.
In vivo
K-111 treatment (chronic doses: 1, 3 and 10 mg/kg/d per 3 doses for 4 weeks) resulted in significant weight loss, improvement in hyperinsulinemia, insulin sensitivity, hypertriglyceridemia, and HDL cholesterol levels, and no significant effects on fasting glucose, 24-hour urinary excretion, systolic or diastolic blood pressure, plasma fibrinogen, total cholesterol, or chemical and hematological profile significant effect. Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
