Description	Olanexidine hydrochloride (OPB-2045 HCl) shows bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Olanexidine hydrochloride disrupts the membrane integrity of S. aureus.
In vitro	Olanexidine exhibits a bactericidal concentration of 109 μg/mL for Gram-positive bacilli. Olanexidine interacts with the bacterial surface molecules, disrupts the cell membranes of liposomes and enhances the membrane permeability of Escherichia coli[1].
