In vitro
PROTACs consist of two distinct ligands joined by a linker: one binds to an E3 ubiquitin ligase and the other targets a specific protein. By harnessing the intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome system, PROTACs facilitate the selective degradation of target proteins[1].
