Description	Artocarpin is a flavonoid isolated from the wood of Artocarpus heterophyllus with bactericidal activity, inhibiting multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus spp. Artocarpin inhibits melanin biosynthesis in B16 melanoma cells and induces rapid cell lysis. Artocarpin is used in the study of skin diseases.
In vitro	Treatment with artocarpin at concentrations ranging from 0 to 10 μM showed no cytotoxicity against lung cancer cell lines (A549 and H460), normal lung (BEAS-2B) cells, and primary metastatic lung cancer cells (ELC12, ELC16, and ELC20)[2].
