Description	Chicanine is a natural lignan that inhibits LPS-induced phosphorylation of p38 MAPK, ERK1/2, and IκB-α in macrophages, exhibiting anti-inflammatory activity.
In vitro	Chicanine (6.25, 12.5, 25, and 50 µM, 18 hours) concentration-dependently decreased the production of NO and PGE2 in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells, with 50 μM chicanine reaching up to a 50% inhibition rate of NO [1].
