In vivo
In vivo studies demonstrate that Spirapril hydrochloride has the capacity to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and influence the central renin-angiotensin system. In TGM123 transgenic mice (characterized by elevated angiotensinogen), oral administration of Spirapril (10 mg/kg for 3 weeks) is associated with a reduction in voluntary alcohol intake [1].
