Description
Halobetasol (Ulobetasol), a corticosteroid, is utilized in the research of severe localized psoriasis [1].
In vitro
Cell Viability Assay [2] using HaCaT and THP-1 cell lines demonstrated that exposure to the compound at concentrations ranging from 0.05-12.85 μM for 24 hours reduced cell viability by up to 50% at a dilution of 1/20.
In vivo
In an animal model study involving New Zealand male albino rabbits [2], a 0.5 ml dosage administered via intradermal injection resulted in blisters that were approximately 35% smaller in size.
