Bioactivity

Description	Enterolactone (trans-α,β-Bis(3-hydroxybenzyl)butyrolactone) is a bioactive phenolic metabolite with estrogenic properties and anti-breast cancer activity. It strongly inhibits cancer cell proliferation and migration by upregulating THBS1, synergistically suppressing epithelial ovarian cancer.
In vitro	Enterolactone (150 μM, 48h) combined with Trabe significantly inhibited the proliferation and migration of human EOC cells. [1] Enterolactone (25-75 μM,48h) blocks the growth of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells in the "S" phase. Enterolactone (25-75 μM,15 h) triggers apoptosis of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells through caspase-3 activation. [2]
In vivo	The expression of THBS1 gene in Enterolactone (l mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection) treatment group was significantly up-regulated. [1]

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO TargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO TargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH₂O TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
