D-Glucose (Standard) is the analytical standard of D-Glucose, primarily used for quantitative analysis and metabolic research. D-Glucose is the naturally occurring form of glucose and the most abundant monosaccharide in nature. It serves as a central component of cellular metabolism, acting as the primary substrate for glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle to generate ATP. Furthermore, D-Glucose acts as a crucial signaling molecule linked to cellular metabolic status and biological/abiotic stress responses.
