| Description | ME1111, a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor of Trichophyton species, serves as an antifungal agent effective against dermatophytes. Notably proficient in penetrating human nails, it is utilized in onychomycosis research. |
| In vitro | ME1111 (0.125, 0.0625 μg/mL; 4, 8, 12 h) inhibits T. mentagrophytes TIMM 2789 (MICs: 0.5 μg/mL and 0.25 μg/mL in RPMI 1640 medium and SDB, respectively).[2] ME1111 strongly inhibits the succinate-2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol reductase reaction in Trichophyton rubrum and T. mentagrophytes (IC50: 0.029 μg/mL, 0.025 μg/mL) but only shows moderate inhibition of the same reaction in human cell lines.[2] |
