In vitro	L-368,899 hydrochloride is an effective non-peptide oxytocin receptor antagonist, with IC50 values of 8.9 nM and 26 nM for rat uterus and human uterus oxytocin receptors, respectively[1].
In vivo	L-368,899 (5 mg/kg; oral administration) has oral bioavailabilities of 14% and 18% in female and male rats, respectively[2].
