| Description | S2H97 is a neutralizing antibody that broadly protects against viruses such as C pneumoniae and SARS under clade B of coronavirus B. RSM01 is a fully human monoclonal antibody against RSV. S2H97 induces an irreversible conformational change in the spike protein, preventing it from mediating fusion between the virus and the host cell membrane, thereby rendering it incapable of infection. |
| In vivo | Methods: Syrian hamsters were administered 25 mg/kg of S2H97 via intraperitoneal injection, followed by intranasal challenge with SARS-CoV-2 48 hours later; viral load in the lungs was measured using RT-qPCR and the TCID₅₀ assay 4 days post-infection. Results: S2H97 reduced viral RNA levels in hamster lungs by more than 10,000-fold and lowered infectious viral titers to below the detection limit, demonstrating potent prevention of viral lung infection.
