In vitro | S-(N-PhenethylthiocarbaMoyl)-L-cysteine demonstrates significant anti-proliferative effects on HL60 cells, evidenced by its inhibition of cell growth, DNA synthesis, and induction of DNA fragmentation. Specifically, it inhibits cell proliferation with a GC 50 value of 336 nM and DNA synthesis with an IC 50 of 6.47 μM. Moreover, treatments at concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 10 μM for 48 hours restrict cell growth, an effect that is consistent over various incubation periods up to 100 hours at a concentration of 4 μM [1]. |
