| In vitro | In HGPS patient-derived fibroblasts (e.g., AG11498), Progerinin (100 nM, 3 days) significantly reduced progerin expression and induced the expression of H3K9me3 and cell cycle protein Cyclin B1 [1]. In various HGPS cells (e.g., AG11513, AG11498), Progerinin (2 μM, 7 days) decreased progerin and p16/INK4A expression while increasing H3K9me3 levels [1]. |
| In vivo | In LmnaG609G/G609G mice, intraperitoneal injection of Progerinin (20 mg/kg, twice weekly) increased body weight and extended lifespan to 21 weeks; oral administration (50 mg/kg, once daily) also increased body weight and prolonged lifespan [1]. |
