It also prompts DNA damage and apoptosis in these cells by inhibiting human topoisomerase I (TopoI) with a K_i of 2.72 μM. Additionally, iNOS/TopoI-IN-1 reduces the expression of iNOS by suppressing the activation of NF-kB, with a K_i of 1.49 μM.
