As the rate-limiting enzyme in the de novo synthesis of pyrimidines, critical for DNA/RNA synthesis, DHODH is localized within the inner membrane of human mitochondria. hDHODH-IN-12 is applicable in lung cancer research [1].
In vitro
hDHODH-IN-12 (compound 5c) (100 μM; 24 h) exhibits TC50 values of 11 μM in A549, 11 μM in H1299, and 15 μM in H1975 cell lines and reduces cell viability in these cell lines [1].
