| Description | Glycolithocholic acid 3-sulfate (SLCG) is a bile acid derivative and metabolite of glycocholic acid, selectively inhibiting HIV-1 replication in vitro, used in the study of HIV infection. |
| In vitro | Glycolithocholic acid 3-sulfate (100 μg/ml) fully protected MT-4 cells from HIV-1-induced cellular pathogenicity, while no toxicity to host cells was observed at concentrations of 200 μg/ml. Glycolithocholic acid 3-sulfate inhibited the expression of HIV-1 antigen in HIV-1-infected CEM cells. [1] |
