| In vivo | Subcutaneous administration of 10 and 20 mg/kg BW 723C86 hydrochloride prolonged the duration of feeding behavior in ad libitum-fed rats over a 15-minute period in the observation cage. By systemic administration (subcutaneous injection of 1, 10, and 20 mg/kg, 30 minutes prior to testing), but not intracerebroventricular administration (1-30 μg), BW 723C86 hydrochloride similarly significantly reduced the frequency of grooming behavior in rats in the observation cage.
