In vitro	3-Keto petromyzonol activates olfactory receptors in sea lamprey and induces behavioral responses at concentrations as low as 10⁻¹² M in vitro. [1]
In vivo	3-Keto petromyzonol regulates reproductive hormone expression in vivo following 6–24 hours of exposure at 10⁻⁹ M, demonstrating its potent, time-dependent activity as a sex pheromone. [1]
