Description

VPC285785 reduces viral load in liver, brain, and spleen tissues in MHV-infected mice. This compound is applicable for research on coronavirus infections.
In vitro
VPC285785 (10 μM) exhibits a low level of inhibition towards human cathepsin L (CatL), with an inhibition rate of only 15% observed at a concentration of 10 μM.
In vivo
Administration of VPC285785 (150 mg/kg; oral; once daily for 3 consecutive days) significantly reduces viral load in the liver, brain, and spleen of MHV-A59 infected mice, while maintaining their liver and kidney function.
