Description
Survivin-IN-2 is a survivin inhibitor exhibiting cytotoxic effects on C4-2 and PC-3 cells, with IC50 values of 0.53 μM and 1.06 μM, respectively. It effectively suppresses xenograft tumor growth without significant toxicity and reduces survivin protein levels in tumor tissues, making it useful for prostate cancer research.
In vitro
Survivin-IN-2 (Compound 7I14) at a concentration of 1 μM for 48 hours reduces survivin expression in C4-2 and PC-3 cells. Additionally, Survivin-IN-2 at concentrations ranging from 450 to 1000 nM exhibits decreased cytotoxic activity in C4-2 cells with survivin overexpression and in Docetaxel-resistant DU145 cells (DU145Doc).
In vivo
Survivin-IN-2 (Compound 7I14) administered at 15 mg/kg via intraperitoneal injection twice weekly for four weeks effectively inhibits tumor growth in mice xenografted with PC-3 cells.
