Description	Prifelone (R 830) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound with antioxidant activity.
In vitro	R-830 inhibited guinea pig lung lipoxygenase in a concentration-related manner. The approximate IC50 for R-830 is 2 x 10 -5 M.[1] R-830 produced inhibition of peanut oil auto-oxidation at concentrations of 0.5%.[1]
In vivo	R-830 (0.3-20 mg/kg), a di-tert-butylphenol for its efficacy in reducing the pre-existing swelling of the inflamed hind paws and promoting body weight gain in dose-response effects was obtained.[1]

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO TargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO TargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH₂O TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
