MAPK-IN-6 (compound 116B) is a blood-brain barrier-penetrating compound that inhibits the MAPK signaling pathway. It reduces oxidative stress in SH-SY5Y neuronal cells by decreasing reactive oxygen species (ROS), restoring mitochondrial function, and inhibiting MAPK-driven inflammatory responses. In the tBCCAO/R rat model, MAPK-IN-6 exerts neuroprotective effects via the ERK-P38-JNK signaling pathway. It can be used as a neuroprotective agent in ischemic stroke research.
