| Description | Linoleyl carnitine is an acylcarnitine that can be utilized in studies of long-chain 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency and fatty acid oxidation disorders in fibroblasts. The metabolic relevance of Linoleyl carnitine supports the use of Linoleyl carnitine in investigations of mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation, metabolic disorders, acylcarnitine profiling, and cellular energy metabolism. |
| In vitro | Method: Voltage-clamped Xenopus laevis oocytes expressing GlyT2 were exposed to linoleoyl-L-carnitine at concentrations up to 3 μM in the presence of 30 μM glycine, and glycine-evoked transport currents were recorded.[1] Rresult: Linoleoyl-L-carnitine was a weak and incomplete GlyT2 inhibitor; 3 μM reduced the response to 30 μM glycine by 9.5±3.2%, substantially less than oleoyl-L-carnitine.[1] Method: Linoleoylcarnitine, designated C18:2 acylcarnitine, was included in a validated HILIC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous quantification of 13 acylcarnitines in human serum. RPLC and HILIC separation were compared before method validation.[2] Rresult: HILIC provided suitable separation and quantitative measurement of serum C18:2 acylcarnitine together with the other acylcarnitines, with validated linearity, accuracy, precision and analytical sensitivity.[2] |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
