Description
Aβ42 agonist-2 is a protein aggregation modulator that promotes Aβ42 aggregation. It facilitates non-toxic fibril formation to protect hippocampal neurons from Aβ42-induced toxicity.
In vitro
Aβ42 agonist-2 (7b) exhibits significant neuroprotective activity in HT22 hippocampal neuronal cell models [1]. The compound specifically recognizes initial Aβ42 aggregates and induces their rapid conversion into high-molecular-weight, non-toxic amyloid fibrils via a "bypass" mechanism [1]. This rapid transition reduces oxidative stress and membrane damage caused by Aβ oligomers, effectively mitigating the apoptotic process in neuronal cells [1].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
