4-Hydroxymephenytoin, a metabolite of the antiepileptic drug mephenytoin, serves as a CYP2C19 substrate[1]. It is utilized in the development of UltraPerformance LC (UPLC) tandem mass spectrometry assays to assess CYP probe drugs and their pertinent metabolites in human urine or plasma samples[2].
