| Description | β-1,4-Galactosyl Transferase, Bovine (EC 2.4.1.22) catalyzes the transfer of galactose from UDP-galactose to N-acetylglucosamine residues at the ends of extended oligosaccharide chains. Present on the cell surface, β-1,4-Galactosyl Transferase, Bovine (EC 2.4.1.22) acts as a cell adhesion molecule by binding to oligosaccharide substrates or ligands in the extracellular matrix containing N-acetylglucosamine, thereby facilitating various cell interactions. |
