Niacin (Standard) is the analytical standard of Niacin (Vitamin B3). As an essential water-soluble nutrient and a primary precursor to the coenzymes NAD+ and NADP+, it plays a fundamental role in cellular energy metabolism, gene expression, and the regulation of apoptosis. Niacin acts as an agonist for the GPR109A receptor, modulating lipid profiles and exerting anti-inflammatory effects. It is a cornerstone molecule in research concerning cardiovascular health, metabolic homeostasis, and the mechanisms of aging.
