Description
MrgprX2 antagonist-1 (compound E23) is a MrgprX2 antagonist applicable to cutaneous inflammation.
In vitro
As a member of the Mas-related gene family, MRGPRX2 is not only expressed in sensory neurons and mast cells, but recent studies have also found its expression in keratinocytes. In terms of tissue distribution, MRGPRX2 mRNA is present in adipose tissue, esophagus, bladder, lung, and other regions, with particularly high expression levels in the skin. Upon activation, MRGPRX2 can induce degranulation in mast cells, subsequently triggering a pseudo-anaphylactic response [2].
