| Description | Melatonin-OH is an oxidative metabolite of Melatonin with radical scavenging activity. It is formed through the reaction of Melatonin with hydroxyl radicals (·OH) and can also be produced from the interaction of Melatonin with peroxynitrite or its activated form, ONOOH. |
| In vitro | Melatonin-OH (Cyclic 3-hydroxymelatonin) (3COHM) at a concentration of 5 μg/mL can be accurately detected and quantified using an optimized HPLC method. For a 5 μg/mL standard solution, a concentration of 4.93 μg/mL was measured with a retention time of 8.1 minutes, demonstrating excellent peak resolution. Additionally, Cyclic 3-hydroxymelatonin (3COHM) at 5 μg/mL is detectable and quantifiable via an optimized MEKC method; for a standard solution of 5 μg/mL, the measured concentration was 4.70 μg/mL, showing a significant difference compared to the HPLC measurement. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 µL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
