In vitro | LY223982 is 189-fold more efficient than 35S-N-formyl-L-formyl-L-leucyl-L-phenylalanine (FMLP) in displacing [3H]LTB4 from its corresponding receptor on human neutrophils. The concentration that inhibits [3H]LTB4 displacement by 50% (IC50 value of 13.2 nM) is only 6.8-fold higher than that of non-radioactive LTB4.[1] |
In vivo | LY223982 inhibits transient leukopenia induced by LTB4 (ED50, 3 mg/kg) in rabbits, but not by FMLP. LY223982 has no agonist activity in any test system.[1] |
