| In vitro | Methods: RAW264.7 cells were treated with Hericenone C (40 μM, before formalin administration) to investigate the role of Hericenone C in formalin-induced nociceptive behavior. Results: Formalin induced the mRNA expression of the inflammatory cytokine Il-6, while Hericenone C significantly inhibited its expression. [1] |
| In vivo | Methods: The antinociceptive effect of Hericenone C was evaluated by intraperitoneal injection (2.5, 5, 10 mg/kg, before formalin injection). Results: Hericenone C pretreatment inhibited the total duration of pain-related behaviors in the second phase of formalin-induced nociception in a dose-dependent manner and showed a significant effect.
