Description
Estredox (E2 CDS) is a redox-based estradiol (E2) chemical delivery system.E2-CDS provides sustained and brain-selective delivery of estradiol.
In vivo
Injection of Estredox-CDS (30 μL) through the tail vein at a dose of 300 μg/kg body weight in ovariectomized mice triggered transient antidepressant-like behavior in ovariectomized mice. [1];A single intravenous injection of Estredox-CDS (3 mg/kg) resulted in persistence of E2-Q+ in three distinct brain regions. The sustained and gradual release of estradiol from E2-Q+ is reflected in the time course of plasma estrogen levels. At the end of repeated doses of Estredox-CDS (0.3 mg/kg intravenously once daily for 10 days), we observed a sharp and then gradual decrease in plasma estradiol levels. [3];In orchiectomized male rats, Estredox reestablished mounting and engraftment for up to 4 weeks after single doses of 0.3 and 3.0 mg/kg iv. The LH suppression effect lasted until day 7 and day 28, respectively. After repeated administration for 10 days at a dose of 0.01 mg/kg iv, significant effects were obtained on day 14. [4]

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
