Dentonin TFA (AC-100 TFA) is a short peptide fragment derived from MEPE. It enhances osteogenesis by promoting the adhesion of osteoprogenitor cells and supports the survival of immature adherent cells. Dentonin TFA does not have a significant effect on mature osteoblasts and can be utilized in studies of phosphate homeostasis and bone metabolism.

MEPE, a member of the SIBLING (Small Integrin-Binding Ligand, N-linked Glycoprotein) family, is a secreted glycophosphoprotein that regulates bone mass and influences osteoblast activity. Dentonin TFA, administered at concentrations of 3-30 μg/ml for 2-24 hours, significantly boosts cell numbers and promotes cell adhesion, though it does not alter the adhesion of cell numbers. Additionally, Dentonin TFA enhances osteoblast spreading, resulting in significantly larger cell areas compared to other treatments.
