| In vitro | D-JBD19 is a non-permeable peptide, analogous to the dJNKi peptide [1]. |
| In vivo | Compared to D-JNKI1, D-JBD19 demonstrates neuroprotective effects following middle cerebral artery occlusion. A dose of 15.7 ng of either D-JBD19 or D-JNKI1, or alternatively, 1570 ng of D-JBD19, was administered intracerebroventricularly immediately after ischemia onset. The animals were euthanized 24 hours post-injection. Notably, D-JBD19 requires a 100-fold higher dosage to achieve similar protective efficacy as D-JNKI1 [2]. |
