APGW-amide is a neuropeptide capable of controlling the growth of pseudomale structures and promoting body growth in Haliotis asinina. It inhibits the Achatina neuron type, regulating currents induced by neuroactive compounds in neurons. APGW-amide induces a rapid increase in [Ca2+]i in Fura-2/AM-loaded PC12 cells and is useful for studies of the nervous system.

| In vitro | APGW-amide (3 μM) enhances the membrane conductance (g) value measured prior to I out induced by erythro-l-BHGA, with an ED50 of 76.9 ms, slope of 0.89274, Hill coefficient of 1.59453, and E max of 5.54 nA. It also inhibits the I out caused by Dopamine, showing an ED50 of 29.5 ms, slope of 1.02386, Hill coefficient of 1.9761, and E max of 0.38 nA, while increasing the pre-measured g value for Dopamine-induced I out. Additionally, APGW-amide (3 μM) suppresses the rapid component of I in induced by Serotonin, with an ED50 of 18.5 ms, slope of 0.8268, Hill coefficient of 1.6557, and E max of 0.72 nA. Furthermore, APGW-amide (30 μM) causes a rapid increase in [Ca 2+ ] i in Fura-2/AM-loaded PC12 cells. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 μL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
