Anticanceragent 227 (compound YNU-1c) is a potent anticancer agent with antiproliferative activity. It is capable of inducing apoptosis (apoptosis) and mitophagy (mitophagy).

Anticancer agent 227 (compound YNU-1c) exhibits antiproliferative activity against HepG2, HCC1806, and HL-7702 cells, with IC50 values of 0.19 µM, 0.13 µM, and >50 µM, respectively, when tested at concentrations of 0-50 µM for 48 hours. At a concentration of 0.13 µM for 48 hours, it induces apoptosis by increasing cytochrome c expression and cleaving caspase-3.

The anticancer agent 227, administered at 5 mg/kg intraperitoneally every two days for 21 days, demonstrates antitumor activity in HCC1806 tumor-bearing nude mice.
