| Description | 2,6-Diisopropylnaphthalene is a substituted naphthalene compound and a precursor for metabolites. In the body of the brown rat (Rattus norvegicus), it is metabolized solely through oxidation of its isopropyl chains, resulting in five primary unconjugated urinary metabolites. Additionally, 2,6-Diisopropylnaphthalene can form glucuronide conjugates with these metabolites, with only a small amount of the unchanged compound excreted in the urine. |
