Interleukin-18 (IL-18) is a member of the interleukin-1 family of cytokines produced constitutively by different cell types and by adipose tissue. Interleukin (IL)-18 was originally discovered as a factor that enhanced IFN-γ production from anti-CD3-stimulated Th1 cells, especially in the presence of IL-12. Upon stimulation with Ag plus IL-12, naïve T cells develop into IL-18 receptor (IL-18R) expressing Th1 cells, which increase IFN-γ production in response to IL-18 stimulation. IL-18R alpha Protein, Cynomolgus, Recombinant (aa 22-329, His) is expressed in HEK293 mammalian cells with C-His tag. The predicted molecular weight is 36.45 kDa and the accession number is A0A2K5V3J9.

Endotoxin< 1.0 EU/μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
FormulationLyophilized from a solution filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, containing PBS (pH 7.4). Typically, 8% trehalose is incorporated as a protective agent before lyophilization.
ReconstitutionReconstitute the lyophilized protein in distilled water. The product concentration should not be less than 100 μg/ml. Before opening, centrifuge the tube to collect powder at the bottom. After adding the reconstitution buffer, avoid vortexing or pipetting for mixing.

Chemical Properties
Molecular Weight36.45 kDa (predicted). Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 60-70 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
Storage & Solubility Information
ShippingIn general, lyophilized powders are shipped with blue ice, while solutions are shipped with dry ice.
StorageIt is recommended to store recombinant proteins at -20°C to -80°C for future use. Lyophilized powders can be stably stored for over 12 months, while liquid products can be stored for 6-12 months at -80°C. For reconstituted protein solutions, the solution can be stored at -20°C to -80°C for at least 3 months. Please avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and store products in aliquots.
