Vasoactive intestinal contractor (VIC), also known as endothelin-2, is a 21-amino acid peptide hormone and a member of the endothelin family. It is produced from a 175-residue preproprotein and acts as a potent vasoconstrictor and smooth muscle contractor. Gene expression of VIC is highly localized, with levels approximately 2.3% of GAPDH in the intestine and 2.0% in the ovary, where it exceeds endothelin-1 expression by 1.6-fold. This compound is commonly used in research to study tissue-specific endothelin signaling, embryonic development, and perinatal organ maturation.

| In vivo | Vasoactive intestinal contractor (VIC/ET-2) is a 21-amino acid peptide of the endothelin family. In adult mice, VIC gene expression is localized to specific tissues, with high levels in ovary, uterus, and intestine, and moderate to low levels in the pituitary gland and medulla oblongata. In the intestine, VIC expression is higher at the bottom of villi in the duodenum, ileum, and jejunum, and at the top of crypts in the colon and rectum. |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO stock solution to 400 µL PEG300 and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2O and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
