Tat-IKIP (46-60) is a transmembrane peptide that targets IκB kinase (IKK). It inhibits the activation of IKK and the expression of NF-κB target genes by disrupting the IKKβ/NEMO complex. In mouse models, Tat-IKIP (46-60) significantly alleviates DSS-induced acute inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and reduces zymosan-induced acute arthritis in acute arthritis models (AAM). This compound is applicable in research on inflammatory diseases such as IBD, pancreatitis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
