Description
mcIRBP-9 is an NF-κB inhibitor with oral bioavailability. It reduces levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and TGF-β1 in renal tissue, while also decreasing LPS-induced IL-1β production. mcIRBP-9 is suitable for research associated with diabetic nephropathy and type 2 diabetes.
In vivo
Administered orally either once daily or as a single dose over 12 weeks or short-term, mcIRBP-9 (1-10 μmol kg−1) enhances glucose clearance in a dose-dependent manner, reduces long-term blood glucose and HbA1c levels, elevates survival rates to 100%, and ameliorates diabetic nephropathy in db/db mice through anti-inflammatory and renal protective effects. Additionally, a single oral dose of mcIRBP-9 (1 μmol kg−1) post-LPS stimulation inhibits LPS-induced renal NF-κB activity and systemic IL-1β production in NF-κB transgenic mice, demonstrating anti-inflammatory activity related to kidney disease.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 µL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 µL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 µL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
