Description
LM-021, a coumarin-chalcone derivative, exhibits properties such as anti-aggregation, antioxidant, neuroprotective, and anti-inflammatory effects. It inhibits the production of nitric oxide (NO), IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α, as well as the expression of CD68 and MHCII. Additionally, LM-021 reduces caspase 1 activity, lactate dehydrogenase release, and ROS level elevation. It is used in neurological research.
In vitro
LM-021, when used at a concentration of 10 μM for 8 hours of pretreatment and 20 hours under inflammatory conditions, effectively reduces the expression of NO, IL-1β, IL-6, NLRP3, GAL3, IBA1, CD68, and MHCII in mouse BV-2 microglial cells, and alleviates morphological changes in these cells. Additionally, LM-021 (10 μM, 8 h) decreases oxidative stress in SH-SY5Y cells and related polyQ aggregation, while promoting neurite outgrowth.
