Description
Isohomoarbutin is a natural product from the whole herb of Pyrola rotundifolia (Pyrolaceae).
In vitro
From the water-soluble constituents of the whole herb of Pyrola rotundifolia (Pyrolaceae), one novel phenolic glycoside dimer, pyrolaside A (1), and one novel phenolic glycoside trimer, pyrolaside B (2), together with two known phenolic glycosides homoarbutin (3) and Isohomoarbutin (4), were isolated. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis and confirmed with chemical degradation.CONCLUSIONS: In vitro tests for antimicrobial activity showed pyrolaside B (2) to possess significant activity against two Gram-positive organisms, Staphylococcus aureus and Micrococcus luteus[1].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
